Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE):
Electrical Engineering is one of the most traditional engineering studies in India. Electrical Engineering comes under core branch. During first-year Electrical Engineering students learn about Common engineering courses like Engineering Mathematics, Physics, Engineering Drawing and Fundamentals of Computing. From the second year, they will start learning about Thermodynamics, Introductory Electronics, Signal Processing and Instrumentation, Signals, Systems and Electric Networks, Microelectronics, Control Systems, Communication Systems, Power Systems, Electromagnetic Systems, Electrical Machines, and Power Generation Techniques. By the end of final year, students can be well equipped with the understanding of working and application of electric systems and engineering.
The course is of 4 years, divided into first year and 6 semesters each of about 6 months. At the end of 1st year and each semester, an examination is held to judge the understanding of the students in that year/semester. During the first year, the students learn Fundamentals of Computing, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Engineering Design.
To get admission into B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering under convener quota one needs to clear the entrance examination conducted by the A. P. State Government. For Management quota the General criteria are that one should be 10 + 2 passed with 50% aggregate and Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the optional subjects.
There are equally good opportunities for jobs in the electrical engineering industry and higher education. There is a lot of multidisciplinary research for developing electric vehicles with great funding and scope all over the world. At the same time, there are good opportunities back home in industry.
offering electrical engineering jobs are In addition to the AP state government, the following establishments are offering jobs. Bajaj International Private Ltd., Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Centre for Electronics Design and Technology, Crompton Greaves Limited (CGL), Siemens Ltd., Reliance Power Ltd., and Wipro Lighting are just a few to name.
