Department of Pharmacy

Pharmacy is graduation studies in pharmacy. It is paramedical professional course. It is a group of interdisciplinary areas of study for 4 years with the design, action, delivery, disposition, and use of drugs. The job opportunities that pharmacy courses offer are Drug Inspector, Pharmacist, Chemical / Drug Technician, Drug Therapist, Hospital Drug Coordinator, Health Inspector. “Those who study pharmacy are the experts in medication therapy, compared to nurses and physicians.” The institution has established excellent labs and provided senior faculty to train the students in both theory and practicals.

Dr. K. Prabhu M.Pharm., Ph.D.

Dr. K. Prabhu, M.Pharm., Ph.D., Professor in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, Director of Vivekananda Group of Institutions, Batasingaram, Hayath Nagar, R.R. Dist., Telangana, graduated and post-graduated from The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India has about 9 years of research experience in medicinal plants, and has a span of 18 years of teaching and administrative experience, presently guiding 3 Ph.D students, 2 from JNTU-H, Hyderabad, Telangana and 1 from JNTU-K, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. And he has published 48 original research papers in various reputed national and international journals and the first person in India to count more than 45 original research articles in Viburnum Linn. species to his credit. Especially encompassing the scientific research areas – Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry, Toxicology, Pharmacology and Ayurvedhic formulations and presently authoring 3 text books of Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry and Pharmacology of some Viburnum Linn. species.

 

Mr. K Ponnudarai, M. Pharm (Pharmacology)

Ponnudurai, M.Pharm., (Ph.D) Associate Professor in Pharmacology, graduated and post-graduated from The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India has about 5 years of research experience in medicinal plants, and has a span of 12 years of teaching experience. And he has published 48 original research papers in various reputed national and international journals and one among a few persons in India to count more than 45 original research articles in Viburnum Linn. species to his credit. He has presented 4 papers in national and international level conferences. Especially encompassing the scientific research areas – Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology and Toxicology and presently co-authoring 3 text books of Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry and Pharmacology of some Viburnum Linn. species
